Dundee District Beavers
The Beaver Motto is FUN & FRIENDS!
And that is what Beavers in Dundee do best - they have FUN and make FRIENDS!!
There are 11 Scout Groups in Dundee, each with a Beaver Colony. All these Colonies meet weekly and all have fun and varied programmes, including outdoor activities, games, craft, cooking, learning about the world around us, visits, sleepovers etc. etc.
Beaver Scouts are the youngest section of the Dundee Scouting family. Their activities are based around making things, outdoor activities, singing, playing games, going out on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories, learning how to be safe and most importantly, making new friends.
Events are organised for Beavers from all over Dundee to take part in together. Some of the recent ones included;
December 2009 - Whitehall Theatre Pantomime Visit, Dundee
March 2010 - Fun 'n' Games Afternoon at Douglas Sports Centre, Dundee
May 2010 - Sunny Summer Sleepover at Douglaswood Scout Centre, Wellbank
February 2011 - Football Fun 'n' Games at Douglas Sports Centre, Dundee
June 2011 - Fun Day Out to Fordell Firs Scout Centre, Fife

Also every year in October all the Dundee Beavers are invited to JOTI (Jamboree on the Internet) - the Beavers take part in the Jamboree with the Cubs and Scouts as well as a lot of other activities especially for them - this October (2011) we have giant foot painting, making footballs from junk and a hosepipe relay.
Over the last weekend of this October we are holding a Hallowe'en Sleepover - details will be going out to the Beavers very soon!
When all the Colonies in Dundee get together that means a lot of Beavers!
