Help For Heroes

45th Scouts Coffee Monring

The 45th Scouts based in Broughty Ferry held a coffee morning in aid of Help For Heroes on Saturday the 10th November to tie in with Remembrance weekend.

They Scouts had wanted to raise between £200- £250 but instead managed to raise a brillaint £719.50!!

They had Cake and Candy, Bric a Brac, Books, Games and two local traders from Party Lite(candles) and Pheonix Trading(Cards and Wrapping paper) and a local Soldier was down to share stories from his time in Afghanistan and working at the Olympics!

There was a great atmosphere with WW2 anthems and songs playing, the locals and some who travled a bit further relaxed with a coffee and a nice bit of cake and at one point we even had people standing it was so busy!

The SL of the 45th and ASL Rebecca would like again to thank all the Scouts and Young Leaders from the troop who worked hard by postering, leafleting spreading the word, baking and helping on the day. They would also like to thank the parents who put in a lot of hard work to make the day possible.
